Look at what we have been up to this month!
Look at my Language learning!
This month, we will focus on the "m" and "d" sounds. The students are also particpating in different writing centres. They enjoy making books and presenting them to the class as their "show and tell". They also love taking part in the write the room activities. The students get a clip board with a paper containing pictures that relate to a specific theme (e.g., shapes). The students need to find the pictures (along with the words) that are hanging somewhere in the classroom. Once found, they write the words down on their clip board.

The students have been busy exploring number sense and numeration. As part of our morning routine, they work together to solve a math problem using simple addition and subtraction. They also have the opportunity to practise their patterning using manipulatives.

Through our Scientist in Schools workshop, the children had the opportunity to become scientists! The children explored different centres and became a paleonthologist, a chemist, a meterologist, and an astronomer.
Look at my Gym/Health learning!
This month the students have been working on circuits. They have been balancing bean bags on various body parts, working with hoops and using foam sticks to hit balls.
Inquiry Learning
Through discussions, the children have selected what they are interested in learning about. Following our planetarium visit, Mrs. Milobar and Miss Jackie's students opted to learn more about the planets. After brainstorming ideas and a class vote, Mrs. Lombardi and Mme Lisa's students decided to pursue the study of ocean animals.

The students have been learning about winter and winter clothing. We have also been working on family and
